Executive Directors Committee

The Executive Directors Committee is one of three councils which support the work of 2SiMS. The committee was created in Jan of 2022 in the interest of guiding a collaborative and grassroots approach to partnerships within the 2 Spirit community.

Purpose of the Committee:

The purpose of the Executive Directors Committee is to collaborate and ensure that 2 Spirits in Motion Society operates in a way that uplifts and listens to community voice and providing professional development support to the Executive Directors within the network.

The Executive Directors Committee will:

1. Act as an advisory committee to the Executive Director of 2SiMS, and carries forward the collective voices of 2 Spirit peoples from each of their organizations to help provide guidance and support for the Society and its members. The Executive Directors Committee is guided by the values of 2SiMS and the Vision and Mission Statements.
2. Advise 2SiMS on issues concerning 2 Spirit people which relate to the mandate of 2SiMS and to provide guidance, recommendations, and advice to support 2SiMS work on a national level.
3. Support 2SiMS in addressing concerns that might arise both internally and externally and make recommendations and assist in decisions.
